Infection Control
Your Safety & Hygiene is My Top Priority
At Pleasant Steps, I bring hospital-grade sterilisation standards directly into your home. You can relax knowing that every treatment is carried out using the highest clinical safety protocols.
The 4-Step Sterilisation Process
1. Ultrasonic Pre-Cleaning
Before sterilisation, all stainless steel instruments are placed into an ultrasonic cleaner. This uses high-frequency sound waves to remove even the microscopic debris from the hinges and files.
2. Vacuum Autoclaving (The Gold Standard)
Instruments are then placed into a professional, medical-grade Class B Vacuum Autoclave. This machine uses high-pressure steam reaching 134°C to completely destroy all bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. (Note: This is the exact same technology used in dental clinics and hospitals).
3. Sealed & Dated Pouches
Once sterilised, instruments are sealed inside individual sterile pouches. These pouches remain completely sealed until I open them right in front of you at the start of your appointment.
4. Safe Tracking & Auditing
Every single sterilisation cycle is digitally logged and tracked. I keep strict clinical records of every batch, ensuring total accountability for your peace of mind.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & In-Home Hygiene
-
Fresh Gear for Every Visit: I wear a clean clinical uniform, a fresh disposable apron, and single-use nitrile gloves for every single appointment.
-
Sanitisation Zone: Before I begin, I thoroughly sanitize my hands and setup area using medical-grade disinfectant wipes.
-
Safe Disposal: All clinical waste, nail clippings, and single-use items are safely bagged and removed by me at the end of the treatment, leaving your home exactly as clean as I found it.
🛡️ Protection for Vulnerable Feet
For patients with Diabetes, poor circulation, or compromised immune systems, skin infections can become serious very quickly. My rigorous infection control routine is specifically designed to eliminate cross-contamination risks, making mobile treatments completely safe for high-risk individuals.
